Rules, Practice Notes and Forms

Proceedings in the Supreme Court of Newfoundland and Labrador are governed by various pieces of federal and provincial legislation as well as rules of procedure. The rules of procedure may permit the court to issue practice notes or directives, which provide further information or directions for parties to court proceedings. The rules of procedure also generally prescribe forms which must be used in proceedings before the court.

These pages set out the acts, rules, practice notes/directives and forms which apply to different civil proceedings, criminal proceedings, and family proceedings in the Supreme Court.
